Well stated Ed...we can enjoy the hot dogs and beer in a free country thanks to our military veterans past and present and current military personnel and all that support them...
The NGDU definitlly show cases some great modelllers , the whole Geoff Notts crowd and many others have produced some amazing work, that many of us aspire to, and at the very least get some new ideas from. They have a notable style and a quality to aim for. Sounds like a good deal for some great inspiration.
An infrequent visitor's opinion is that I like Chuck Doan's work the best if we are excluding all the present company. I also really enjoy Troels Kirk and Don Railton's models.
Shouldn't a 'satchel' be carried ? and not walked... lol.
Ed, You'll hopefully get to know me well, and your respect for others is evident. And yes, the recent activity is very motivating for all, which makes everyone happy.
As I've said before, the fewer posts there are, then the fewer things there are to respond to, so, thanks to all of those who post, whether it be their own work or a comment on someone elses work. The more we share the more we can all enjoy.
It takes time and effort to share your work and it is very appreciated for everyone that does, as is the time and effort people take to comment on that work.
Thanks Ed, RRL is where most of my early scratch builds are, where I started. Also several of my early SWSM build threads are there. It is indeed rewarding to me that those threads are still being read and useful.
stumbled across this thread,,,,, Best modeller ??? no such thing.... 1000's have their own style and have influenced millions worldwide..... the past past few years this man has changed my direction of modelling...... ( if ever i did have a direction ..grin !!! )..... . http://www.modvid.com.au/html/body_anders_malmberg.html
Hi all, New SierraWest and to this forum. Just received the HO version of O'Neills Fabrication from Brett. His videos and instruction manual are the best I have seen. Can't wait to start this project and getting pointers/suggestions from others.
Great to hear Pappy! You’ll love this kit and you're right on regarding Brett's videos and manual. So nice having this level of support...makes the journey that much sweeter!
Thanks! KKarns and engine909 for your support Getting ready to start this project. Have purchased most Tools/chalks/paints/the chopper/sander...etc as Brett has suggested to move forward. Have built buildings in the pass others from Fos, builders in scale. cambells..etc and Brett by far is the best for his instructions and answering all my questions quickly.
Thanks again and will keep you posted on my progress
Even I didn't start this kit yet, I've opened it like 20 times just to enjoy it's content. Feels great having this . ( along with the other O scale ones )

I did a lot of scratch builds and detailed "how to's" back in the beginning.
