by the way, i went downstairs and couldn't smell the mineral spirits until i sat down at the bench. the four walls still reek of it. oh well. i imagine it'll be a few days before that goes away.
i got the store walls prepped and the warehouse walls glued to the back of th gable wall. (no pic of that)
i realize i didn't peel any paint, but in spite of that i just liked the way these look. because it's so 'rundown, i had to hit the warehouse walls with my new batch of homemade silverwood to age it some, because the barn and the store look so old.
jim, the blinds were brett's idea (in the manual) robert, it's not my first rodeo. i hid one in the logging and tractor repair. (but def got the idear from you my friend) thanks brett and ken.
Ha !!! my idea of putting the SW label somewhere on the structure, discrete or not, has followers.. Good.
One of my builds in 2011.... glad to see you thought it was a good idea.
Some light sanding on the sign with smooth sand paper will fade the sign a little and make it fit in with the great weathered wall, also, a light dusting of 408.3 or 408.5 chalk will dull down the white letters and make it fit in better.
Lookin' great Kev. It's really coming together and your choice of colors is really unique and sets this one apart from so many others. Great ideas. Love the Sierra West sign!!
