A few months ago I posted a thread about a new modular layout I was doing with some existing and new sections of my layout. This would make it portable to whatever location it will end up. However I am 6 months from and still rehabbing my now third right knee. Five surgeries, much hospital time and a reconstruction of a reconstruction due to an infection. Now rehabbing again and no modeling for the last few months because of a mobilizer that keeps my leg straight and not able to sit at a work bench much less run around to get tools, paints etc. I hope we have figured it out this time.
I have been able to write and have a couple of articles in the last couple of Narrow Gauge and Short Line Gazettes. I also co-authored with my friend Keith Pashina an article just published in the new 2024 HOn3 Annual by White River Publications. It is the lead article about the new modular layout I am doing as a exit strategy. I took all of the photos and as you can see it is about 90% SWSM and it started after meeting Brett at a long ago trade show. I think there are 12 Sierra West kits.
Now available to buy from White River for $34.95. A lot of good articles by some good modelers around the world. They also do an On30 Annual that Robert G has been featured in with his incredible SWSM O scale creations. I'll post a few photos

Congrats on the article, looks like a wonderful way to highlight your fantastic modeling. Can't wait to get my copy and read the entire article.

I've had both my knees replaced (too much parachute jumping while in the Army) and I'm sorry to hear your having difficulty. I have been fortunate with no issues whatsoever, but I am so sorry with what you are going through. Hopefully the third time is a charm. I know getting the knee infected once it's been replaced is a concern as that happened to my Dad but I wish you the best for a speedy recovery.
