A little off topic , this is a project i was working on as i was ordering the foundry . The story line is ole Hank was on his way to the butcher to fill his freezer for the winter , when he came across an abandoned 28 Ford . Being a Ford man Hanks thoughts are spinning. This diorama is 1/87 scale . Soon as i received O'Niells my first thoughts were to push every thing aside and dive in , but i knew that a model kit such as any SierraWest would take my utmost attention so i push on and got it finished . Now that my bench is cleared....on to the good stuff .
WOW...not sure where to begin.....of all the great modeling in these photos, the rusty rails are awesome...something I would like to achieve...simple as it sounds shiny rails would certainly detract from the overall scene...well done
Such a dreat looking diorama, obviously well thought out flow. That scenery must have taken so long but the close ups show that it was worth it !! All those individually planted sprigs/weeds/sprouts/etc. Also really like your wood colouring and treatments for specific areas throughout. Definitly well planned and executed.
Really looking forward to following your build of your SierraWest Kit after seeing your work on this.
Ed....formally Metro Trains located on Metro Parkway... I say formally because it has changed names and the new name is “just out of reach”....the model was on display when I was there in January....maybe call ahead if you plan to go down Terry
