People really need to get out of town and see this great land. Mother nature has quite the show if we just look. I took this pic a couple days ago at the Rivers Bridge battle ground historical site here in South Carolina. I drove past it countless times and finally took the 1/4 mile detour to see it.
Rick….have you ever been up the road just a bit to the town of Branchville ( home of the world’s oldest railroad junction)? I wonder if there might be some old railroad structures/rolling stock to explore
Love the color/weathering on the siding. So hard to achieve that natural grey look and all the variations, subtle or otherwise. Especially like the natural wood color sub-wall base peeking through in spots.
So much to look at. Variation in degrees of weathering due to sun exposure. Overhang protection of painted surface. Degree of peeling siding boards. Just great thanks for posting.

Rust stains from fire escape:
Serious need for a paint job:
Could probably strip the paint off with a fingernail in 20 minutes and be ready for a new coat!

(I'd probably decide to eliminate the 'DirectTV' satellite dish though..... to keep it 50's period...and the weed eater... )
Easy enough to make one though if needed.
