The local paper ran an article about my Twin Mills diorama in Today's paper. Brett--thanks for the kind words! Karl--I SWEAR I spelled you out by name to the reporter! Not that it matters, but Dave Frary was referred to as "the author".
Congratulations very well done. The article, pictures, and video are excellent (are you sure mini me hasn't been conspiring with Dr Evil and finally figure out how to shrink a real sawmill down to 1/87 scale? LOL). Jim
Nice video. Good that you explained the time line as non-modelers have no clue as to your efforts till they are told "... a year and a half...". Well done.
Thanks for all the nice comments, guys. I was pleasantly surprised with the article when it came out for a couple reasons- I was shocked at the amount of spaced they gave it (not to mention a "plug" on the front page). Also, I get a little nervous when reporters don't record conversations when doing interviews. She wrote stuff down like crazy as we were talking and was far more accurate than most interviews I've done (non-modeling stuff). Other than what I pointed out above, she was very accurate with quotes and details. The other notable mistake was my own: I gave her the wrong age of my oldest daughter wrong! Ooops. Hey, she was 13 a couple months ago... I think.

The water looks very real as the camera moves around in the video.
Its a well deserved accolade.
