Finished up the Water Tank and Handcar Maintenance Shed. I kept the roof removable because with all the awesome details inside, why hide them? You'll also notice there is no track which will be added once the model gets placed on the layout. Wanted to insure the tracks aligned with the other Sierra West buildings on either side. Thanks for looking and your comments.

  • This diorama really is alive !!! Good thinking about the tracks.
  • Very nice! Great use of details. The figures add life to the scenes.
  • Thanks Robert and Tom. The figures come from ModelU in the UK. I think they are the best producers of figures I've found. They put period costumes on people and then 3D scan them in a scanning booth, after which the scans are turned into figures. You have to paint them but the detail in the figures is amazing. Thanks again guys. Have a great rest of your week.
  • Also Robert I get a lot of my landscaping ideas from your posts. there's no one that does landscaping like you and i learn every time I get to see your completed models. They are teaching me how to up my game in the landscaping arena so for that I thank you. The more training the better.
  • Well done on completing such a great kit. All of the details fill out the scenes so well and the figures you added give lots of activity to the scenes.
  • Top shelf work here George! The LPs really bring things to life.
  • Thanks Ken and Karl. Your comments are greatly appreciated and are greatly valued. I've learned a lot from both of your builds and posts which have greatly helped me become a better modeler. Thanks again and take care.
