Kevin, I have also been watching them this preseason and I like their attitude so far. But then, this is the preseason. Our next game against the Chiefs when both teams will be playing their starters in a final preseason tune-up will give us a better idea of where we are going. 12-5 might be a bit optimistic as the black and blue division teams are all looking better. Later, Dave S. Tucson, AZ
that's true it is. the good news for the bears is that they play 9 games before their first divisional game. they had the vikes and lions' numbers last year, and i think they'll beat both of them at least once this year. 12 might be a stretch, but i am pretty optomistic..
I can say that I have enjoyed watching their preseason games on NFL Network this season. The Vikings have some QB issues so with some luck we may brat them twice. Throughout all my years of going to Bears games at Wrigley Field and Soldier Field the most obnoxious fans of visiting teams wee the Viking fans.

I guess they all are once they get a few brews in them. Sane thing at baseball games but the troublemakers at those games are generally hometown crazies, I have not had that experience at Blackhawk games however. Once I was down in Cincinnati at a Bears preseason game and on the way out some Bengal fans started giving me crap But then they laughed and said they were transplants from Chicago Crisis averted, I think my brother who had become a Bengal fan after several years o living there put them up to giving me stick While living out here in Tucson my son-in-law and I would get cheap tickets for football games in the end zone. The most annoying fans at those games were the Southern Cal Pep Band that played their fight song after every play.
The White Sox had their Spring Training Camp here in Tucson for a decade. So I got to go to many of those games during the Frank Thomas era But the best games were the ones when the Cubs came down from Phoenix for a game. At one game I was going into the park after a dad with his two sons dressed in Cub uniforms It was a game when they were giving out packets of baseball cards one per family. The two kids in Cub uniforms were upset they didn't each get one so I gave their dad my package but teased him that he could be arrested for cruelty to kids by dressing his boys like that, We ha a great laugh and two smiling boys.
At 30-97 the Sox need more than training. They need new owners for a start. The Cubbies (Chicago's "loveable losers" for almost a generation) are 62-64 in second place in their division a notch above the Cardinals. Right now it doesn't look like either the AL nor the NL will even have a 100 game winner. Does anyone even watch major league baseball ?
DaBears announced that they won't play Caleb on Thursday So if the Chiefs don't play "Mr. Behind the Back Passer" will that game come down to bragging rights being "my little brother is tougher than yours"?

i've only missed about a dozen cub games this season.

the bears have tyson bagent, and he could start on a half dozen teams. he's a real good backup qb.
excellent point He has shown that he can be a starter. interesting that there is a strong possibility that Justin Fields may be the starter for the Steelers with his back-up being Mitchell Trubisky. Looking forward to Thursday nights game
I was a season ticket holder for 12 years but the Bears were so bad I thought it was a waste of money to pay to watch such a poor performing team so I gave up my seats. This year, however, I agree they may actually win some games with Caleb. It seems that Justin Fields is stepping up his game in Pittsburgh, although I wonder how much is the QB coaching staff in Pittsburgh that is helping where the Bears' B coaching was mediocre at best. We'll see.
i'm excited for the season to start. poles and eberflus seems to be doing everything right this year, and the bears are finally gonna be a good football team.
glandesjr, There are plenty members that get their daily fix on this forum including me. Much like you my son had season tickets for Da Bears and Blackhawks Another friend had 4 season tickets for Fighting Illini games for 50 years. Dumped them about 5 seasons ago. kebmo,, I think Eberflus tries very hard to instill a winning spirit into the team So that is what I think accounts for them having a very good preseason. He gives them an opportunity to taste winning and then they want more. Now lets see if it carries over to the season as it did last year. Later, Dave S. Tucson, AZ
Well after the game last Sunday I was not impressed. I think NC gave the game away more than the Bears won it. They did have great D and special teams but what a terrible offense and the O line has got to be one of the worst in the NFL. The Bears seem to spend a lot of dough on QB's, and then let them get the crap beat out of them by spending nothing on the O line. It'll be interesting to see how they do against the Texans this Sunday night.
