Each time Brett comes out with one of these great pieces I can just imagine the competition saying “dang, dang, double dang….how sre we gonna ever catch up to this guy????” Terry
Hands down best 3D prints available and not only are the parts and kits absolutely stunning in accuracy and detail, they are paint and detail ready! No cutting of supports or trying to hide rough print lines...who does that?...SierraWest Scale Models.
Indeed, like I said before, there is no more competition possible now..
Coming Soon, the 3D Printed Linn Half Track in both HO and O Scales. Available in two body styles, the stake bed and dump bed. Each version features different cabs and wheels. An optional accessory package includes the ski sled attachment. As with all SierraWest 3D Printed kits, the Linn HT features incredible details with superior quality prints. Minimal clean-up and ease of assembly means you can spend your modeling time with the fun stuff, weathering and assembly! The pictures here feature my pre-production model where I test fit all the parts. Fully weathered production versions will be pictured here next week. Any thoughts/plans to produce a tracked logging trailer to go with it ? I have come across a photo of a halftrack towing two tracked trailers loaded with logs . Looks like it would make an interesting model.

Saw the same pic and agree, it would be an awesome addition!
This is a fantastic print. Even in these teaser photos, the details just pop out at you. I can't wait to see what people do with these. I can see these being a very nice addition to many scenes in any of your dioramas.
I can see building a diorama around these guys! I don't know if the rest of you experience this...I get anxious if there is a SierraWest 3D printed part/kit available that I don't currently have in my stash!!
That is just amazing, I can appreciate all the work that went into researching, drawing, developing and producing this amazing piece. I cant wait to get my hands on one and make it look like sh!t... In a good way...
Linn Manufacturing of Morris, N.Y. began production of its patented Linn Half Track Tractor in 1916. Designed to overcome the problems of hauling large loads over rough terrain, the secret of the Linn's success lay in its unique rear-end crawler-type traction unit. Unlike most rigid crawler designs of the day, the Linn crawler assembly featured a flexible track-roller design. The gear-driven assembly incorporated track rollers able to follow irregular ground surfaces ensuring it maintained positive traction. The Linn was able to pull loads through adverse conditions including mud, snow, and ice. Coming Saturday, September 14, the 3D Printed Linn Half Track will be available in both HO and O Scales. Available in two body styles, the stake bed and dump bed. Each version features different cabs and wheels. An optional accessory package includes the ski sled attachment, open hood, and an extra set of both wheelsets. Since the parts are interchangeable you can mix and match as desired to create your own Linn. As with all SierraWest 3D Printed kits, the Linn HT features incredible details with superior quality prints. Minimal clean-up and ease of assembly means you can spend your modeling time with the fun stuff, weathering and assembly! The pictures here feature my finished production models. Laser cut mylar is included for the window glass and stripwood is included for the stake bed. The Linn was the most challenging of all the 3D Printed kits I have produced and I am so pleased with the final results. Super excited to see what you all do with this awesome kit. Brett, these are STUNNING! And such a welcome improvement to the old Jordan kits. Having built your Model T, I know these will be so easy to put together and can't want to get my hands on them
Nick Ogden sent me this reference photo of a Linn truck hauling logs. Note the tracked trailers behind the truck...Brett...um...nice accessory possibility?
Nick advises that he plans to model this scene so any duplication will be seen as stealing his idea and you will be cast aside to the withers of other unscrupulous modelers destine to model fire and brimstone for eternity!
That's a classic pic and was my inspiration for the entire project, a main reference for the drawings. If sales warrant I may add the trailer to the catalog.

Well I embellished it just a bit! Nick’s right as I added the sauce! Nick just mentioned he was going to model the Linn based on the reference photo…I added the rest…hehe
The trailers would make a great addition, both the articulated version that is connected to the main truck with wheels, and also the separate actual trailers with the tracks. Both would make fantastic add-ons to an already amazing offering.
Thanks to Nick O for sharing this photo and to Brett for the great addition to his 3D offerings As for the trailers and drawings, "Bring them on!" These ticklers are exciting. They do keep the juices flowing.
Robert, It will be exciting to see how you work these Linn machines into your diorama. Keep us posted as yo build them and incorporate them into your diorama.
