Machine Shop. AKA D. Elwell's Milling

Good Afternoon Everyone.
Well I have decided to build this kit and change it into a wood milling shop. I bought it on E Bay with some parts missing I knew that when I did buy it.
I have always built everything by the book but now that I am older I am going to do one my own way, I have a lot of milling machinery so time to use it.
Here are a few pictures of the build so far.

Great job on the walls. Different coloring on inside and outside of the walls which would be prototypical. Your stones are well done. It must have taken quite a while to cast all of those. Great job.

Tom. I bought the stones on E Bay they come from Hungary After the wood is cooked I use a palm sander with very fine sand paper 220 grit and sand off the one side..Carl....

The stones are in place now have to do some adjusting before I put the grout in. So this is where I am at this point.........Carl............

everything looks great carl, tho it appears that the top trim on one of the windows isn't level. probably an indication that the right trim piece is too short. otherwise it's absolutely perfect. the variations of the boards looks excellent.

I like the lintel beam above the door. To my eye it looks like the stone lintels above the windows aren't supported properly and could potentially fall in. A lintel beam above the windows might break up the look a little and make them feel more supported. Just my thought. I do like the individual stones.

Tom. Thank's I am going to frame it out with some strip wood the stones were all the same size so either have two with a joint in the middle or what I have now I an going to work on it.

Well I messed with it and some of the stones became loose so I used Mat Medium and had shine spots then put on Dull coat and it darkend up everything so I am going to try some thinner and see what happens.
