Recently I read a posting from one of you that uses ‘sanded grout’ for sand/soil. The sanded grout I checked out a Lowe’s reacts with water. Soooo, my question is do you wet the dio surface before sprinkling the ‘sand’, after sprinkling or merely spread it as desired and leave it to react with moisture in the air? I like the concept of the sanded grout because it’s available in several ‘earthy’ colors.
I’m going to try a sample board using all three application methods I touched on above but hoping for some input before I do. Also wondering if it hardens in the bag over time like a bag of Quikcrete does

It will harden in the bag from damp/moisture, so keep it dry and sealed, I still use the first bags I bought 10 or so years ago when I started.
